Digital inverter MIG Welder PATON “STANDARD” SERIES are designed for direct current welding of a wide range of materials in MIG, MMA and TIG modes
with the PULSE function for each of these mode. These devices are single-phase 220/230 Volt Welders providing good load duration at their nominal current of 160A. PATON semi-automatic machines of the “Standard” series are distinguished by the ratio of small overall characteristics with high nominal current, high work performance and reliability.
Description

PATON standardMIG 200 is designed for semi-automatic MIG welding, direct current (DC) with PULSE function capability. Using an electronic control system to enble the welder to operate effecitvely over its entire welder output power range.
The “Standard” series is dedicated for home and semi-industrial use. StandardMIG 350 provides 55% duty cycle at full rated current of 350A without any loss of efficiency and quality of work. It is also worth mentioning that the welder achieves a 100% duty cycle at 260A. The robust design and simplicity of operation makes the machine easy to use – easy settings result in excellent weld quality. The use of the fully electronic control method in this series excludes the disadvantages that are characteristic of multifunctional systems. The welding source is set to optimal values, which allows you to start working with it right away, even if you are a beginner. For more advanced work, the device is equipped with additional functions. A characteristic feature of PATON™ Standard series semi-automatic machines is a high-quality wire feeder, which has been additionally sealed, as well as the existing KZ-2 “EURO” type integrated connector, which has become a standard all over the world, allowing the user to choose any MIG torch according to his preferences.

FEATURES

This is a welder designed for the professional MIG welder with a 55% duty cycle at 350 Amps welding current. The welding power source unit can be easily separated from the wire feeding mechanism, making this also a very light an versatile solution for ARC and TIG welding.
This MIG welder is suitable for:
- MIG welding wire sizes 0.6 to 1.6mm in diamter, and wire spools up to 5kg in weight.
and
- ARC welding rods from 1.6 to 6.0mm in diameter.
SAFETY
For increased protecton in hazardous conditions, a ARC Idle Voltage Limiting Unit is built into the welder, which is capable of switching the welder on and off. For additional safety when the welder stops welding, the voltage of the power source is reduced to a safe level of 12V within 0.1 seconds.
These Professional Series welding units are protected against ingress of foreign particulates which are more than 2.5 mm in size and against rain drops, where the drops fall at an angle of not more than 60 degrees to the the vertical walled surfaces on the welding unit.
These welder are designed and time proven in the though harsh Eastern European climatic conditions for temperature ranges from -25 + 45 ºС .
The internal electrical and electronic components of the welding unit are protected against moisture, however they are NOT protected against heavy drops of condensation.
Another important characterisitic of this welder is its high quality, sealed, metal housing type wire feeder unit. sealed.
It also equipment with a Euro type MIG torch connector, which has become a standard throughout the world, allowing the user to interchange with MIG torches from diferent manufacturers .
The wire feeder on this welding unit is a 2 roller wire feeder, for MIG wire rolls up to 5kg weight.
Due to their compact and robust design, this Standard Series welder is suitable for both industrial site and work shop usage. Its light weight and compant size make it very mobile.

Features & Benefits:
GASLESS WELDING FUNCTION – WELDING WITH SELF-CONSUMING WIRE
All PATON MIG/MAG welding machines are adapted for welding with self-shielded MIG wire. Such welding, as opposed to the traditional MIG welding process, is carried out without shielding gas – however, it requires a special welding wire. The wire produces its own shielding, which helps to protect the welding arc. Self-shielded wire suitable for PATON welding machines can be purchased here – 5kg spools of wire.
SOLDERING – INDUCTANCE ADJUSTMENT
Paton MIG welders of the Standard series can be used for brazing thanks to the ability to change the inductance in three stages. The inductance control enables you to optimize the characteristics of the arc depending on the thickness of the component to be welded. This function is necessary to change the speed of the current flow when changing the arc voltage. The thinner the element to be welded with MIG, the higher the inductance should be (soft arc – less fusion), for thicker elements the opposite (hard arc – more fusion).
PULSE FUNCTION IN ALL METHODS
– PULSE in TIG welding – full control of heat entering the material – a great feature for welding stainless steel and acid-resistant steel,
– Pulses in MMA – easier transfer of material from electrode to weld pool, better quality of welded joint,
– Pulses in MIG welding – easier detachment of metal droplets from the end of electrode wire, possibility of pulse current adjustment. MIG welding with pulse is useful for welding stainless steel, acid-resistant steel and aluminum alloys. In addition, pulse welding provides better parameters for soldering CuSi3
THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MIG WELDING MACHINES OF STANDARD AND PRO SERIES:
- duty cycle – Standard Series MIG/MAG welders have a 45% duty cycle, while PRO Series has a 70% duty cycle at the same welding current. In addition, MIG welding machines in the PRO series achieve a continuous duty cycle at a higher welding current than MIG/MAG welding machines in the Standard series.
- Wire Feeder – The PRO Series has a separate wire feeder that handles spools from 15 to 18 kilos. The feeder can be separated from the source for convenience in welding other methods – such as MMA or TIG DC. The PRO Series also has 2 roll or 4 roll wire feeder versions. In MIG welding machines of the Standard series for 230V power supply, the wire feeder is built into the welder, supports only spools up to 5 kilo and always has two rolls.
Main advantages of the Paton StandardMIG-270 welder inverter:
- Manufacturerd in Europe
- Electronic thermal protection system that protects all heat generating parts from overheating
- Reliability thanks to IGBT technology
- Possibility to work with long extension cables as well as with a generator
- Pulsed current welding in all welding methods
- Improved arc glow stability
- Change mode function 2T, 4T, gas cleaning with feeder function
- The devices have voltage spike protection and stabilization system, enabling proper operation in the voltage range of 160V to 260V
- Two times lower power requirements compared to traditional sources
- Optimum melting and correct stitch shape regardless of welding position
